- CAVA, the Washington, DC-based Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant, as well as culinary brand, today announced it would open two restaurants in the Philadelphia area in 2019. The first, slated to open early winter 2019, will be located at 1713 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, and the second location will open summer 2019 in Suburban Square at 40 Coulter Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003.
Cava Mediterranean Philadelphia
The day before doors officially open, CAVA will invite the neighborhood to come in for community lunch - a tradition that started with the very first restaurant opening back in 2011, but is rooted in the heritage of the founders. “Sharing a meal was part of our culture and how we welcomed our new neighbors growing up,” said Co-Founder Ted Xenohristos. The community will be able to join CAVA for free lunch from 11 AM to 1 PM and free dinner from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM before opening day.
CAVA Rittenhouse
- will be 2,300 square feet and will seat 29 people, located at 1713 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Hours: Daily: 10:45am-10pm.
CAVA Suburban Square
- will be 2,400 square feet and will seat 58 people, located at 40 Coulter Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003. Hours: Daily: 10:45am-10pm.

Ted and his co-founders Ike Grigoropoulos, and Executive Chef Dimitri Moshovitis started CAVA to bring modern, authentic, and vibrant mind-blowing Mediterranean meals to a broader audience, using ingredients made from scratch in-house every day. CAVA offers a customizable menu including their signature Crazy Feta, Spicy Lamb Meatballs, as well as Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh and creative rotating seasonal offerings of juices, soups, and roasted vegetables.
