Urban Village Brewing Company’s Wrong Way IPA can release, February 13: Urban Village will begin selling four-packs of 16 oz. cans of Wrong Way IPA to-go for $15. Named for the infamous U-Haul crash that happened days after the Northern Liberties brewery opened in June 2018, Wrong Way IPA has a hazy appearance and great mouthfeel from the addition of plenty of wheat and oats. Cans will be available at shops and bars around the region including Garage North and South, Station Taproom, and six Whole Foods in Philly and the surrounding suburbs. Wrong Way IPA label artwork.

Afternoon Dim Sum Tea pairing at SUGA, February 21th and 28th: From 2-4pm SUGA will be hosting an ‘afternoon dim sum tea,’ pairing China’s little treasures from the heart and the special teas for $35/person. The menu is comprised of a variety of green, oolong and black teas Susanna Foo recently brought back from a research and development trip to China paired with inventive bites of her signature fusion cuisine.

Valentine’s Day, February 14:

• Treno Pizza Bar in Westmont will be celebrating the love with half price pizzas. Any variety of pie from their wood-fired thin crust Kennett Square pizza topped with local mushrooms, herbs and truffle oil, to their thicker crust “American-style” brick oven Meatball pizza with red sauce, mozzarella and parmesan, will be 50% off all evening. Dine in only.
• ChopHouse Voted one of New Jersey’s most romantic restaurants several times over, The ChopHouse in Gibbsboro serves up the perfect atmosphere for love with beautiful lake views, fire pits and cozy booths. On Valentine’s Day, the menu will feature several indulgent specials including a two-and-a-half-pound lobster thermidor topped with brandy cream and wild mushroom sauce – perfect for sharing over a bottle of bubbly.
• The Pour House Put the oysters and romance adage to the test on Valentine’s Day. All three locations of The Pour House in Westmont, NJ and Exton and North Wales, PA, will have buck-a-shuck oysters. The expansive raw bars always offer a plethora of seafood options that pair perfectly with the craft beer bars’ robust drink menu. The Pour House in North Wales invites lovebirds to show their hearts while they share their hearts on Valentine’s Day. 15% of all checks will be donated to Philabundance from 5-9pm on February 14. A selection of special cocktails from Stateside vodka will be available, like the Strawberry Love Potion made with strawberry puree and pinks of bright pink Victory Kirsch Gose will be $5 all evening.

Get to know your ABCs! Cocktail Workshop at Boardroom Spirits, February 15: This one-of-a-kind workshop is a perfect date idea or girls’ night out. It teaches curious mixologists how to experiment with Boardroom Spirits’ Apple, Carrot, and Pear brandies to create crowd-pleasing and delicious drinks. Tickets are $39 and include a hands-on fun mixology session where participants will make and enjoy three signature cocktails; a choice of one of the regular spirits used in the workshop to take home (Vodka, Gin, FRESH Vodka, retail price per bottle $19.99-$26.99); snacks; and an employee discount of 35% off any of the brandies used during class. There are two sessions (6pm and 7pm) and spots are limited to make sure everyone has a great time.

Traditional Chinese New Year banquet at SUGA, February 16th and 17th: Starting from 5pm through closing, SUGA will be offering a classic Chinese banquet including the symbolic seven lucky foods such as lobster and vegetable spring rolls (wealth), a variety of dumplings traditionally eaten in Northern China where Susanna hails (wealth) and good fortune citrus fruits. To make this special occasion even more so, a personally autographed book ‘Susanna Foo Chinese Cuisine’ will be given and a portion of the proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk animals (many of which are dogs) and provider of low-cost, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations. Cost is $65 per person, and space is limited.
