Philadelphia, PA - Vetri, flagship restaurant was named the best Italian restaurant in the country, according to a list compiled by TimeOut.com. The popular eatery opened on Spruce Street was once home to another Philadelphia fine dining establishment, Le Bec Fin. Time Out — an entertainment and travel website — called a meal at Vetri a "once-in-a-lifetime experience," that's individually tailored to each guest.
"What can be said about Marc Vetri’s hall-of-fame flagship that hasn’t already been said? Well, at the time of this writing, the national restaurant industry was abuzz with the news that the illustrious chef-restauranteur had sold much of his empire to Urban Outfitters. So there’s that. But its cornerstone, Vetri, remains intact—and what a cornerstone it is. Vetri beat out some other East Coast landmarks, like Carbone and Del Posto in New York City and Fiola in Washington, D.C., for the top spot
