Insomnia Cookies Moving HQ to Former Super Walgreen's in Center City

Insomnia Cookies was founded in Philadelphia and now has more than 200 stores nationwide. The former Super Walgreen's will become the company's HQ, which will include its offices and test kitchen. It will also have a storefront where the cookies can be purchased and shipped. The company is already expanding to more cities, including New York, expanding its late-night delivery service.

Insomnia Cookies began as a local delivery concept in Philadelphia and soon expanded into several other cities. The company expanded its offerings to include cookie sandwiches and ice cream. In 2018, Krispy Kreme acquired a majority stake in the company. While the two companies share the same headquarters, they continue to operate independently. The East Passyunk location recently opened a "cookie speakeasy" known as the Insomnia Cookies Sweeteasy and Secret CookieLab.
