- Le Dîner en Blanc, announces its seventh edition in the City of Brotherly Love will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018. The wait list is still open for this unforgettable evening filled with elegance, food, art, and music. Every summer, thousands of guests don their white finery and descend upon an undisclosed public space whose location is kept secret until moments before the event begins. This year, Le Dîner en Blanc - Philadelphia will welcome 5,500 guests and is on track to be the largest Dîner en Blanc in the country for the second year in a row.
On Tuesday, June 12, the Moshulu on the Delaware River hosted the official Le Dîner en Blanc - Philadelphia Preview Party, which brought together the event organizers and volunteers, as well as past and new participants. Guests sampled dishes from Feast Your Eyes Catering and browsed an expansive selection of vendors. This included Touché Accessories, Ellelauri Boutique, Tiffany Arey Millinery, Hats in the Belfry, Tie Bar, Stella and Dot, Petit Jardin, and Bohemia House Designs. Sofitel Philadelphia was also on hand to discuss their hotel packages and this year's fabulous After Party.
The highlight of the evening was the elegant and elaborate table display contest. Sixteen table decorators competed in the “Passport to Le Dîner En Blanc” Table Decorating Contest, representing a sampling of the close to 80 cities around the world where Dîner En Blanc events will be held this year. Displays featured iconic sights and natural wonders from across the globe.
The wait list for this seventh edition of Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia is open. Interested parties can visit the website and sign up at philadelphia.dinerenblanc.com/register. The wait list does not guarantee a spot to Le Dîner en Blanc - Philadelphia. It does ensure those signed up to the wait list will be notified if they were chosen in the Phase 3 lottery on July 13.
