- If you're looking for a modern take on pub fare, head over to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft in Ardmore, affectionately called "The Ripp." This refined retro restaurant is a two-floor destination with a lovely bar area.
The Ripp in Ardmore
The bar opened in April 2018 and is a welcome addition to the Ardmore dining scene. It's a cozy atmosphere, with warm staff. It has great decor, a wonderful staff, and a great cocktail menu. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, this is the spot for you.
Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft is a hip, trendy whiskey bar and restaurant next to the Ardmore Music Hall. The bar is owned by Bill Martin, a Main Line native, and a long-time area resident. Its menu features elevated pub fare and includes a wide selection of Irish whiskey. It also features a full bar and whiskey selection.
After Martin purchased the property at 29 E. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore, Pa 19003. He hired chef Michael Gottehrer, a graduate of Jose Garces' culinary empires. And, Gottehrer, does not disappoint with his version of Italian and American fusion cuisine, focusing on locally-sourced ingredients. The cocktails are delicious, too, with inventive flavors and refreshing drinks.
The Ripp is a must-try next time you are in the Ardmore area, pop in for after-dinner drinks or both dinner and drinks at this popular downtown spot.
