Do not let the size of this little joint fool you, Sketch Burger has some of the most delectable burgers in the neighborhood.

This Restaurant is Permanently Closed

This spot offers made to order burgers, vegan options, weekly specials, house-made desserts, and even milkshakes. They strive to have their food portrayed as edible masterpieces, similar to the walls of their space.

Neighborhood patrons love and frequent Sketch Burger so much, they express it through their own artwork, by the medium of markers, construction paper, and inspiring food. When entering Sketch Burger, be prepared to see the walls covered by drawings and artwork, depicting scenes of burgers and fries from each patron's own ideas and vision. Sketch Burger’s clever take on dining space and masterful food combinations are so appetizing that they were featured on Travel Channel’s Hamburger Paradise 3 back in July 2014.

Owner Phyllis Farquhar has always had a background in art and cuisine. Before Sketch Burger, Phyllis owned a restaurant across Girard Avenue called Canvas, where she was able to feature and sell her artwork while serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Over the years she decided to simplify her cooking and restaurant concept. She wanted to offer customers one thing executed extremely well. With that came Sketch Burger.

Although Phyllis says she hasn’t eaten a burger in 7 years, she was determined to perfect her burgers. She started this restaurant with the goal of making Sketch Burger fun and memorable, allowing customers to generate their own colorful ideas while waiting for their food, and post them up on the walls. Supplies to do this are provided on each table, and customer creations are highly encouraged. Every month the staff of Sketch Burger picks one of your drawings as the “Sketch of the Month”. The lucky winner receives an entrée of their choosing- just remember to submit your drawing next time you come in!

Sketch Burger is all about the sauce. Several sauce options are offered for your dipping and pouring pleasure. These savory sauces including Harissa Aioli, Chipotle, and Wasabi, as well as vegan sauces Green Goddess, Hot Mustard, BBQ, and Tahini. All burgers and fries come with your choice of one of these sauces.

The Hand Cut Belgian Style Fries are above average and can be a meal in themselves. These fries are a definite must-have. Fries come with a choice of sauce, however, we recommend trying them all. This crisp baby can also be ordered as Cheese Fries, which are also a must-try. If you really have an appetite for greatness and want to spice it up, please take note of the Green Chili Cheese Fries. Despite all of these recommendations that may fill you up quickly and which your stomach girth was generous, we do recommend that you save room for dessert!

Customers can choose an 8 oz. patty including 100% sirloin beef burger, Kobe beef burger, turkey burger, or vegan bean burger sandwiched between a LeBus Bakery country white bun with shredded lettuce and tomato. There are a variety of custom made combinations that will tempt your taste buds, making that custom decision-making process a bit more difficult.

The Truffle Butter Burger replaces the average lettuce and tomato with the most aromatic combination of onions, mushrooms, and truffle butter. This decadent burger is balanced perfectly with cheese and beef that truly makes this burger extraordinary, maybe even cartoon worthy.

The Cyclops Burger is truly a breakfast belly buster. This massive sirloin burger is paired up with cheese, an egg cooked to your own liking and crispy bacon with a toasted country white bun. If you have an appetite, this burger’s got your name on it. If you’re not in the mood for a burger or simply not red meat, we also recommend Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork Sandwich, with slow-cooked pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and drizzled with chipotle sauce. Sketch Burger also offers vegan and vegetarian-friendly options including the Vegan Bean Burger and the Falafel and Hummus sandwich.

Desserts are ever-changing at Sketch Burger, as they are all homemade and equally as decadent as their burgers and fries. Please be sure to glance at their ice cream menu, where you can enjoy a scoop or two, or even a Warm Brownie Sundae made with super fudgy brownies and chocolate chips. Milkshakes are also handcrafted with Pott’s ice cream to pair well with your burger and fries, that is, if you have room!

Sketch Burger is open 7 days a week from 11:30 am-9 pm and CASH ONLY. They do not offer delivery, however, don’t let that stop you from rolling on down to 413 E. Girard Avenue to try the next time you’re got a burger craving- pair it with a milkshake and you can’t go wrong.
